Carol A. Walters

Walters has served as President of Walters & Associates, Inc. since 1989. The firm specializes in assisting public and nonprofit institutions in organizing and executing financial transactions. Her experience at Walters & Associates, Inc. has included obtaining funds for major real estate projects, assisting the State of Michigan in the sale of tax exempt securities and managing ratings for sale of public debt. Prior to Walters & Associates, she served in various positions for the State of Michigan including Director of Michigan Municipal Bond Authority for the Treasury Department, Director of Business and Community Development for the Michigan Department of Commerce and Director of the Washington D.C. office for the Departments of Labor and Commerce. She also served as Vice President of the public finance group of Prescott Ball and Turben.

Walters is a member of the board and former chairperson of the Women's Caring Program, an officer and board member of the Cranbrook Institute of Science and Inforum (a professional women's organization) and a board member of the Michigan State Building Authority and the Michigan Association of Counties Service Corporation. She resides in Milford.
