ChildCare Commitment

ChildCare Commitment provides financial support for licensed childcare and early education expenses for children from low-income families.

Eligible families may receive 40% of the annual cost of childcare and early education for one child per family (age birth to five), up to a maximum of $2,544 for one year. The parent/guardian must be working full-time, attending college full-time or a combination of both. Families cannot be receiving childcare assistance through any other funding source (including state assistance). Families must also qualify within the income guidelines based on family size.

Applications for ChildCare Commitment are available under the Documents and Forms section of this page or by calling 1-800-875-6751.

ChildCare Commitment provides timely, targeted help where it is needed most. It is helping Michigan's disadvantaged children get on a solid path, succeed in school, in life and later, at work.
